About Hope & Restore

Hi I'm Katy, 

My working life has consisted of a tale of 2 halves I began in events before moving to office based roles, starting as receptionist/PA and helping with marketing events before falling into an accounts position. 

Over the past 8 years I have had 2 children and navigating this time of life has presented it's challenges. I reached a point  where I felt like I was failing in all aspects of my life but above all my children, and I didn't know who I was anymore, throw in a bereavement 18 months ago and it catapulted me into re-evaluating my life and what was important to me....my family and finding that spark inside myself again.

Taking the time to craft, cook, read, garden, you name it I like to try everything, made me realise how important taking moments to slow down and lose yourself to an activity for an hour or so is crucial to sustaining the busy hecticness that is life, but above all I also learnt to stop telling myself that there's no time for me to do the things I enjoy.

This got my brain ticking, there must be so many others like me, and I want to help them find themselves again, provide opportunity to meet new people and have some fun. 

I also wanted to reach as many people as possible by offering lots of types of activities so anyone can feel the benefits of taking time for themselves. This lead me to then think what a  fab opportunity this would be  to collaborate with local people and small businesses to bring their talents to the fore.

And so, drawing on my events experience and the passion I've found for myself again, Hope & Restore was born and I would love for you to join us on the adventure.
